Day 90 - Graffiti

I managed to wake up with my alarms today. Right at 7:30. And then breakfast and then back to bed until 10:30 (accidentally) and then rushing to get ready so I could leave by 11.

First thing I did was meet up with Ieva and go for lunch. We went to a pita restaurant and got a mixed tray of gyros, souvlaki skewers, pita, potatoes, onion and tzatziki to share. It was delicious! Lunch was followed by tea and a treat.

Some of the archaeological sites and museums are free on Sundays so we took advantage and went to a site neither of us had been to yet. Took lots of pictures and then got locked in.. Apparently they don't announce anything or make it known that they are closing for the day, and they don't look for left over people. Fortunately there was a man by the gate that let us out. Though, how bad could it really be if we got locked in until tomorrow?

After that we went for a walk towards nowhere and ended up somewhere else I hadn't been before. A "Chinatown" area, a scary area where people are doing drugs in the corner and sleeping on the ground and a busy artsy area covered in graffiti. Honestly, the whole city is covered in graffiti (which I'm not really a fan of), but this particular area is different. It's more art and less "gang tag" which makes it slightly more appealing.

Some more walking around and we were back at the metro and saying good-bye.

Back to the house and the usual.
Expect pictures soon!
