The main thing we still wanted to see was the lion monument. A giant lion carved into the side of a rock face.
We also walked by a few churches and over to see a hotel with a giant advent calendar on the front of the building. The shutters on the windows had the numbers and when opened there is a Christmas related picture behind it.
While out we also stopped to pick up sandwiches for the train and some roasted chestnuts. We think they are chestnuts anyway... Soft, meaty, a bit strange and seriously needing salt.
After our short walk around we had to go collect our luggage and get on a train. First to Zurich and then to Austria, Salzburg to be specific!
Sound of music tour, here I come!!!
A long train ride, but absolutely beautiful. Such stunning scenery in the mountains between Switzerland and Austria, especially the snowy little towns.
Once we arrived it was only a short walk from the train station to our hostel, got a room no problem and feeling excited for my time here!
We got our beds set up, laundry in and spent some time on our phones catching up. It was to late to go out and do anything and we were both tired.
Laundry finished and we have sleeping roommates so I guess that means bedtime for me as well.
